Early Struggles and the Depths of Addiction
Glen grew up active, playing sports like football and boxing. But in his early twenties, personal struggles led him to alcohol. His drinking escalated, reaching over two liters of spirits a day. By 21, he faced multiple hospitalizations, daily panic attacks, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

In 2018, Glen entered rehab. It was a turning point. He realized that mental and physical health had to be priorities. He chose to find natural solutions for anxiety and depression instead of relying on medication.

Failed Attempts with Veganism and Keto
His first experiment was with veganism, which initially gave him a slight energy boost. But that quickly faded. His exhaustion deepened, and his mental health showed no real improvement.

He then tried a ketogenic diet. This helped him lose weight and brought some mental clarity. His anxiety eased slightly, but it wasn’t enough to sustain real healing. He knew something more was needed.

Transformation Through Keto-Carnivore
That’s when Glen discovered the keto-carnivore diet. He was skeptical at first—worried about fat and cholesterol. But desperate for change, he committed to it fully. The results were immediate and powerful. His energy surged, his anxiety vanished, and his depression lifted.

With renewed strength, Glen returned to exercise, built muscle, and improved his gut health. The change wasn’t just mental—it was physical, tangible, and life-altering.

Evolving to an Animal-Based Lifestyle
After a year, Glen tested adding some carbohydrates—like fruit, rice, and sweet potatoes. His body responded well. Now he follows an animal-based lifestyle, cycling between strict keto-carnivore and lower-carb phases based on his needs.

This way of eating has been essential to his sobriety. Now over seven years sober, Glen credits much of his recovery to the clarity, stability, and strength this lifestyle provided.

Building a New Life
