Testing Your Blood Pressure

The basics of setting up and using the iBloodPressure meter

Please note that your meter will automatically transmit your results, and your app will automatically be updated.

How to use the iBloodPressure® monitor

Blood pressure testing procedure

  • Sit upright with your feet on the floor. Don’t cross your legs at the knee or ankle. Your arm should be supported at the level of your heart.
  • Put the cuff on your upper bare arm with the bottom of the cuff about an inch above the elbow.
  • Secure the cuff snugly, leaving enough room to slide two fingers under the cuff.
  • Press the on/off button once to turn the device on, then once more to start the measurement.
  • The cuff inflates, takes the measurement, and sends the results automatically.
  • Remain still and quiet—avoid talking, moving, or crossing your legs.
  • Once the measurement is complete, you’ll see your results.
  • The cuff deflates automatically.
  • Results are automatically transmitted and your app will be updated.

What are the numbers on my monitor?

  • Systolic blood pressure: The higher number is the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.‍
  • Diastolic blood pressure: The lower number is the pressure in your arteries when your heart is at rest between beats.‍
  • Your heart rate is the number of times your heart beats per minute. ‍
  • At the top left of the screen, you will see “sending” when the device is uploading your measurements, and “done” when they’re uploaded.

Your Revero care team will help you understand your readings and develop a customized blood pressure care plan to reduce your numbers.

Setting up your iBloodPressure device

After unboxing your iBloodPressure device, ensure that all the components are included: the blood pressure monitor, the upper arm cuff, the air tube, the AC adapter, and the user manual.

  1. Slide the back panel off, then insert four AA batteries. Make sure you orient them correctly.
  2. Plug the air tube into the port on the left side of the iBloodPressure device.
