This is Jay's story. After years of struggling with weight and energy, he turned to Revero for a personalized approach and support from a medical care team. Here is his experience, in his own words. Individual results vary.
The Starting Point
At my heaviest, I weighed 325 pounds. Over time, I managed to get down to 246 pounds on my own through low-carb eating, but then I stalled. I still did not feel good. I was 52 years old, tired, dragging, and out of breath doing things I wanted to do. I was also managing several health conditions with medications prescribed by my doctor.
I had been trying to eat low-carb on my own, but looking back, I was not doing it in a structured way. I was overeating, using heavy cream in my coffee, and guessing at what to do. That is when I realized I needed real guidance and medical oversight, not another solo attempt at a diet.
Finding Revero
I decided to connect with Revero because I wanted a personalized plan and a medical care team that would work with me on the full picture. On January 1, I started the program.
My coach took a close look at what I was doing and suggested changes I would not have made on my own. She helped me rethink my protein portions, cut back on coffee, and eventually remove dairy. I stopped using heavy cream. I eliminated artificial sweeteners. I added intermittent fasting into my routine. Every change was tailored to me and to what my body was responding to.
My Experience With the Program
Throughout the program, my coach was available to me through the app, and my medical providers monitored my biomarkers along the way. Any changes to my medications were made in coordination with my medical providers, not on my own. That support made a real difference. I was not guessing anymore.
Over the course of the program, I have seen meaningful progress on my weight and on biomarkers my medical providers track. I am still on the program and still working toward my goals.
How I Feel
I have not been at this weight since I was a teenager. I am 52 and I feel more like myself again. I lift weights and walk two miles every day. I can walk at a fast pace now and I do not get out of breath. Before, I was dragging through things I wanted to do. That is gone.
My Advice
If you are on the fence, my advice is to listen to your coach and follow the program as designed for you. For me, beyond the physical changes, this has given me back a version of myself I did not think I would see again.
