Jared’s Keto Carnivore Comeback

630 lbs, IBS, a pinched lumbar three nerve, diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, no will to live. What do all of these things have in common? No one would want to experience even one—much less all of them.

Up until recently, these things defined me. My name is Jared. I’m 29 years old, a single father, and a man who has finally found success.

My First Try at Keto Carnivore
I have tried every diet you can think of, from vegan to paleo to the grapefruit diet. Nothing ever worked. My health concerns and weight only worsened.

At the end of August 2017, I saw an interview with Dr. Shawn Baker on Rogue Health and Fitness that gave me hope. He was talking about a Zero Carb/Keto Carnivore diet. It seemed simple enough, and I set out to do it. It lasted two days.

Keto Was a Better Start
Luckily, I had friends doing keto, which seemed low-carb enough to help. I started on September 8th and hoped for the best. It was difficult, but I lost 11 lbs in my first week. When you see results like that, you get determined.

After my first month, I lost 40 lbs. In my second month, I moved to a low-carb, high-fat/keto combo. On my birthday at the end of October, my doctor told me I no longer needed diabetes meds—my blood sugar stayed around 120.

Still Back Pain
My back pain hurt less each day. After a car accident at 16 caused a pinched nerve, my weight gain only worsened it. Though the diet helped, I was still in physical therapy as late as December 2017.

Keto Carnivore Solved the Pain
Two weeks after starting the keto carnivore diet in early December, the pain was nearly gone. I had been using a cane for two years and couldn’t stand longer than 30 minutes.

I quit physical therapy and haven’t looked back. I eat all meats, and sometimes eggs and cheese. I drink water when thirsty. I’m rarely hungry, and food and water taste better than before.

Keto Carnivore Wins
After one month on keto, two on low-carb high-fat, and three on keto carnivore, I can say keto carnivore is the best thing I’ve ever done. My health has improved dramatically.

Remember all the issues I listed at the start? They’re nearly gone.

I now have a craving to live life fully and a drive to be the best man and dad I can be for my daughter.

Here Are My Current Updates
After six months (the last three on keto carnivore), I weigh 404 lbs—down 126 lbs. I no longer have IBS. I only feel nerve pain after long periods of standing, and exercise helps lessen it.

My blood glucose stays between 95 and 105 without any medication. My blood pressure is healthy, between 118/72 and 126/78. My anxiety is minor now, and I no longer have depression.

For My Daughter
I no longer just “have a will to live”—that feels like surviving. I have a craving to live and a mission to be healthy for my daughter.

She will know the truth about health. I’ll ensure she doesn’t struggle with weight like I did for most of my life.

My final thought? Eat meat, drink water, and be healthy. It’s as simple as that.
